Seeking a Stage Manager (or Aspiring Stage Manager!)
The Prince by Abigail Thorn
Screaming Butterflies Theatre | Tacoma
Screaming Butterflies Theatre is seeking a Stage Manager for our upcoming production of The Prince by Abigail Thorn – a Shakespearean multiverse genderqueer romp about identity, acceptance, and the roles we play for the benefit of others.
This project will be a great experience for someone who cares about trans rights and community, loves Shakespeare, or is excited by work that challenges expectations and expands what theatre can be.
While Screaming Butterflies is an emerging company, the team behind it brings decades of experience making inclusive, heartfelt theatre. We welcome applications from both experienced Stage Managers and people with project management experience who are interested in learning the craft who we can support and mentor. (If you get a strange amount of satisfaction from a well-made spreadsheet and being the calm amidst the creative chaos, you may have found your favorite new hobby!)
About Us
Screaming Butterflies is a Tacoma-based theatre company creating vibrant, community-centered work that prioritizes artistic curiosity, collaboration, inclusion, and creative risk-taking.
We believe theatre should be alive, welcoming, surprising, and deeply human. We are building a company where artists of all backgrounds can create meaningful work in a dignified and supportive environment.
