Cast & Crew

Russell Campbell
Victor
Russell Campbell is excited to be a part of this Screaming Butterflies production of Dream/Language. He has appeared in several local musical theater productions over the years. Russell is thrilled and to be a part of this amazing production and cast. Russell is grateful for his amazing family and all their love, patience, and support.

Kathryn Philbrook
Clovis
Kathryn Philbrook is delighted to revisit the role of Clovis, over twenty years later, after performing the role for her senior thesis in Theater at the University of Puget Sound. Kathryn is an actor, stage manager, and director, having worked around the South Sound, and co-founder of Screaming Butterflies Theatre. Favorite roles as an actor include Cunningham in "The Last Days of Judas Iscariot" (Theater NW), Queen Elizabeth in "Shakespeare in Love" (Tacoma Arts Live), Lady Macbeth in "Macbeth" (Tacoma Little Theater), Agnes in "She Kills Monsters" (TART), and Beatrice in "Much Ado About Nothing" (Olympia LIttle Theater). When not delving into theatrical texts, Kathryn works alongside her husband at their restaurant Basilico in Olympia, and volunteers as a chauffeur around town for two delightful teenaged girls. Deep gratitude to Giampaolo, Andrea Sofia, Jaliyah, Colleen and Stephen for making sure that this artist can have children, a house, a garden, large dinners, but also continue to make art.

Em Piro
Pola
Em Piro (she/her) is an award-winning performer, theatre maker, community organizer, and deep lover of people and the world. Whether in a show, around neighborhood tables, or within community projects, her work is rooted in creating spaces where people are seen, encounter new ways of seeing, and create more just and vibrant worlds together. Her work has taken her from basement venues to international festivals, galleries, and public spaces across North America and beyond. She is a happy collaborator at Screaming Butterflies Theatre. When she's not making theatre, she's usually helping communities tackle big challenges through strategy, facilitation, and a tinge of creative provocation.
